So last week was sick wit it, this week was SICKER WIT IT!!! So legit! Well the difference in the growing number of investigators ….. We have been out talking with everyone, looking at our area map, seeing what places we haven’t hit up yet, and this week we racked in 10 more investigators, so were just building the teaching pool. We are slowly starting to have more dinners and such. We have been doing more lightning visits with the members, and this ward has good potential, especially with this area having an Air force base and such, but were getting the members stoked about Missionary work.
Ronda and Mary, we taught them Saturday afternoon and we read 3 Nephi 11 with them, watched the “Restoration” video and they loved it! We emphasized the concept of baptism, and taught them about the authority. We committed them to be baptized on August 8th and we committed them to pray about our church having the correct authority from Jesus Christ and they accepted and said "If I pray and do find out that what you're saying is true, then yes, I will be there on August 8th to be Baptized!!" so please be praying for them to be praying about this and having the desire to be baptized!
We had other good lessons with Zee we talked about the restoration a little bit more so he could understand it, so we will be showing show him the video as well, but he is progressing pretty good. Felicia, our appointment with her was canceled, so we’re going to call her today and set up another one, but she has potential, she accepted a "softy" (soft baptismal commitment).
GREAT story! Collard and I were biking down Berkley St. and a lady comes out of a gas station and waves us down, so we pulled in and I didn’t know who she was, but Collard has seen her once. Her name was Marcela, and Collard and his last comp have tried forever to meet with her and never did, so she waved us in and we talked to her and she pretty much told us she wants to get baptized haha. She has been to Relief Society like 27 times and has read the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants! She said quote "There is a time in everyone’s life to choose a religion and I know that LDS church is the one for me. After a few things in my life get settled, I want to be baptized!" end quote. SO SO LEGIT! hahaha. She is going to call us this week and is going to come to church this Sunday, she promised us haha.
It was a good week though! good lessons and finding people to teach and contacting 108 PEOPLE THIS WEEK! HOLLA!

On Friday the AP's came on exchanges with us and G1 (Goldsboro 1st) that was fun, we got SOAKED, it rained so hard for like 10 mins and we were in it, it was hilarious! haha.
Personal studying is going great! I am reading the Book of Mormon again. Collard finished reading the Conference talks in the Ensign, so now I will read them :) I am also reading Jesus the Christ. It's an intense book for sure, but learning so much. I have to read the same paragraph like 3 times to get it haha, But I love it! So I’m learning so much I love it!
President and Sister Cotterell will arrive in Raleigh today around 10:30 pm and President and Sister Wallis leave for home tomorrow! So CRAZY! I’m pumped for the Cotterells to be here. so but that was our LEGIT week!
Oh yeah, we stopped by a members house (The Yates ) one morning, and brother Yate's parents were there visiting from Vegas, and they know Aunt Heidi and Uncle Mike. Uncle Mike was there Bishop! They took a pic of Collard and me and will give it to Aunt Heidi and Uncle Mike! How crazy is that? It’s almost my 6 month mark! and yes I already have a tie picked out to burn haha.

13 NEW INVESTIGATORS & THE NEW DO
So this week was pretty sick wit it not going to lie! We racked up 13 new investigators, and we have had appointments with 2 of them so far, and they have been going great! Well from Cary all I have heard is Jason is still working towards baptism sooner or later. Kendrick emailed me and told me that Cassidy has agreed to be baptized on July 24th! That is LEGIT! And I got to teach her the first lesson. That is all I have heard from Cary, I’m too focused here in Goldsboro.
Well the work here is progressing, we are finding more people to teach and this upcoming week we will be meeting with the gators that we found and find out if we will be teaching them. Ones that stand out are Zee B. we met with him on Friday and had a sweet first lesson and we have an appointment tonight with him and were going to talk about the Book of Mormon and praying to know and we're going to have a member with us to testify! Which always helps out a lot! John R. we contacted him and when we went back for his appointment, we ended up teaching his wife and his step-daughter! The Step-daughter Ronda is the most interested we think, but that was way cool to teach a whole family, and Ronda has an 8 yr old and an 18 yr old that we can teach as well hopefully :) Issac, we contacted into him while washing his car and he seems way interested and told us to come over for sure and he will be waiting for us! That is on Tuesday...but were stoked for him! Jessica, so when we first contacted her it was WAY awkward and weird, she was smoking and wasn't really talking, and we were just thinking about just giving her a card and peacing, but the spirit kicked in and I started talking about how our church meetings go and such and she got interested and result is we’re going back Wednesday afternoon! WAHOO! That was a rewarding contact to go from awkward and not talking to interested and asking us questions. I love family contacts!
So the projects aren’t that bad ha-ha. They are just fun to go visit because everyone is just kind of yelling at you, but good things though about Jesus Christ and such, it’s fun ha-ha! So what did you guys think about the short hair? ha-ha, it was a mistake I forgot how short a 3 is so I just had to deal with it, but it feels GREAT out here. On Saturday and Sunday it was like 97 plus the humidity! Even at 8:30 on Saturday night it was still like 92 outside. But everything is going great! I’ll have some sweet stories about appointments next week! I LOVE YOU GUYS!

MORE INFO ON GOLDSBORO and ELDER H. TO THE RESCUE
First off …So yes the tie is SICK wit it! I wore it to interviews when I saw President and Sister Wallis for the last time…but yeah Sister Wallis got to hug us and it was great! I’m going to miss them :( 
New District (L-R)Loew, Lyman,Sis and Pres Wallis, Collard, Witbank, Rhodes, Perez, Staborik, Ross, Jensen, Blake, Draper and Van Orden P-day is pretty much the same, instead of going to the library for emails, we just go to the ward building, they have a lot of computers here, because this is where they do family history work. P-day's here are not as exciting as Cary. In Cary all the other Elders in the district were close by so we all could meet up and play, but the area here is HUGE so it takes a while for the other Elders and Sisters to get here and takes up too many miles. So it’s just us 4...and not a whole lot to do in Goldsboro ha-ha. But we shop at wal-mart, and I’m getting my hair cut today from a member of our ward. He has been a barber for like 10 years.

We do have a washer in the apartment! WOO! and we do not have a gym here, so I have to do my own little work outs, but we have a sick tennis court, so we play that a lot for morning work-outs, I’m getting good at tennis ha-ha! So the car situation is sweet! We share the car with the Elders that stay with us, so we just switch every other day, its way nice! I have only had one dinner with a member so far and we have one today. So we’re very lucky to even get one a week compared to Cary where its 3-4 a week...but I’m getting used to it. The Wal-mart is just down the street and the mall is right behind our apartment, there are a lot of places to shop nearby and to eat, so it’s better than Cary in that sense. Elder Collard has been here in G2 (Goldsboro 2nd) for 3 months, not sure if he will be transferred after this one and or he'll stay one more with me, but you never know what the Lord has in store ya know. Elder Van Orden is from Illinois (the Abe Lincoln look alike) and Elder Jensen is from Farmington Utah! We have good times in the apartment. The Seymour Johnson Air Force base is in our area, and we have a couple members that live on base that we visit every now and then. We have a lot of Air Force members in our ward, it’s pretty cool.
Our teaching pool isn’t that great; we have been trying to get that up and finding more people to teach. And we don’t have anyone close to baptism at the moment, but were working on it and praying really hard to know what we should do and where to find the elect! We ate at Andy’s last week, it is GREAT! We left a card for the Church website with the tip for the waitress. ha-ha. While she was waiting on us, she asked us who we were and what we did, because she said she saw us riding our bikes past a lot and was just curious! so that was cool. The mission life is going good, just trying to find some more people to teach, so be praying for us to be able to find those people. We are working with a lot of less actives as well, our Bishop likes us stopping by them, so we’re going to keep doing it! We’re teaching the lessons to 3 less actives and bringing them back to church.
Our bishop is Bishop Rouse! He is hilarious, every time you ask him how he is doing he replies..."I’m doing great, I’m the happiest guy you'll ever talk to." ha-ha, I love it! So crazy short story... we were chillin' outside of a less actives house and we heard some weird noise and we looked over by the road, and a truck was upside down with the wheels spinning, so we ran over and an old man was chillin’ in the truck upside down....ha-ha. I asked him if he was alright and he said "yeah I’m ok I just turned a little bit too soon, but man do I feel stupid ha-ha." so I jumped in the car and undid his seat belt and Collard and I helped him out and he was ok. Pretty random ha-ha. And we definitely gave him a pass along card.

GOLDSBORO NORTH CAROLINA! & 23,000 TURKEYS
So I am now in Goldsboro North Carolina! But man it is TOTALLY different than Cary. In the SOUTH now! So where I live it's kind of the city part of Goldsboro as you travel down the street you enter the ghetto and go down further you enter the country. I love it ha-ha. Talking to people chillin’ on their porches is so fun! And everyone here wants to talk to you unlike Cary ha-ha. We went to a city called Grantham, it's straight country and the projects are also in our area, which is always fun to go talk to people there, it’s kind of sketchy but once people see Jesus Christ on our tags they are chill with us ha-ha. Speaking of the country.....A VISIT TO THE BROCK FARM

My new companion is Elder Collard, yes like the collard greens ha-ha. And he is from San Diego, CA! He has been out for one year and he is a solid missionary and we DO WORK! It has been amazing serving with him for the past couple days here in Goldsboro.
Just to let you know I am staying in a 4 "elder" apartment, so package contents need to be upped ha-ha. I'm also staying with Elder Van Orden and Elder Jensen. But Elder Van Orden is HILARIOUS! He is tall and skinny! And looks like Abe Lincoln ha-ha, and he loves Abe Lincoln! He is from Illinois! This area is crazy, the first couple days were hard for me trying to get used to the area and I was missing Cary a lot, but remember Elder McMichael that I talked about a lot that was in my district in the MTC? He took my place in Cary, so I'm stoked for the ward there; he is a bundle of energy! I'm kind of bummed that I only had one transfer with Holbrook though, he was a funny kid. Man being out here I have so much respect for the youth, like 2 nights ago I was crying just thinking about it...in Cary a priest in my ward names Daniel Greco was named prom king and he was the first Mormon prom king ever! And now I’m here in Goldsboro and the stories I have already heard about the youth here is heartbreaking...they really have to defend themselves out here and stand up for what they believe in, it’s amazing... 
I still have my NC Flag with me :) I started a new thing where I’m going to have all my comp sign it when I or them get transferred to a new area, so that will be SICK! I'm stoked for the LEGIT SICK WICKED DOPE COOL tie ha-ha!

A TRANSFER - SAD TO LEAVE CARY
So sorry I wasn’t able to email yesterday, it was a busy day, we had a funeral to go to yesterday for one of our ward members, and she passed away shockingly. She was having surgery on her back and the fluids went up to her brain or something and caused a blood clot...she was like 55ish...but she was an amazing lady. We then we had to shop real quick and meet the other Elders and Sisters at the park so we could play some sports, we were going to email, but a lady back into us so we had to wait for the police to get there and such, so that took forever, which took away email time...but it’s ok I’m here now emailing.

Here is how transfers work...
We get the call Saturday night (Black Saturday) if we are transferring or not. If so, you have from then until Tuesday morning to pack up! Every missionary being transferred meets at the Raleigh Stake Center and we find out the where’s and who’s. They have you stand up and they announce in front of everyone where you're going and who you're serving with. It’s a huge SURPRISE! You get a ride to the Raleigh Stake Center with a member and after the meeting he will bring back the other Elder to be with Elder Holbrook and I’ll go with the member that is going to my new area! So next p-day I’ll be letting you know where and who I’m serving with!

We taught Cassidy last night! …at Kendrick’s home. It was so SICK! She is going to be a great person to teach, her knowledge is good and she really wants to learn more and find a church that works for her, because she doesn’t like the churches she went to growing up, and we all know that our church is SO legit, and she will love it for sure! I was able to teach her one lesson before I head out!
So the baptism for Jason didn’t happen on the 30th as planned :( He had a stressful week with moving and work, so he didn’t have that much time to think about it and such, but Holbrook and the new comp are meeting with him tonight and setting a date for the 13th... Jason came with us to a dinner on Sunday with the Arnold's, a cool family, and that was great, he had a good time and we taught a really cool spiritual thought after wards about the Book of Mormon and being baptized, so he is going to be baptized soon I know it! And tonight Sally is going with Sis. Maxwell to Enrichment Night so get some exposure to the Relief Society stuff, so that will be great for her. We taught the Tanes family again on Sunday night, and that went well! They are doing so well and progressing towards baptism for sure, we had the 3rd lesson with them and they love it! They just need the 4th lesson and they can be baptized! So I hope that they can find their testimonies and keep learning in the gospel, Gina (the mom) has a great understanding and she can get what we teach and recognize the spirit so easily, it's amazing. And Jessica (the daughter) is understanding very well for being 13, she asks great questions and her answers are great to our questions. !

But man the last couple days were busy, once I got the call I was visiting all the members I wanted to visit, so I have some sweet pics coming, and also have some pics of me with Jason, Cassidy, the Tanes and some other families that are TIGHT! And with this new camera I love taking pics now.
I’m pretty bummed to be leaving this area, but my service is needed elsewhere so I will bring those people the gospel, because right now, there is a person or family that is waiting for me to find them right now, and I will find them! ha-ha. I love you guys and miss you so much and next week you will be hearing from me in a different area! PEACE OUT!
