ZONE CONFERENCE @ GOLFING THE TPC

This week was pretty legit! Alright this is what happened at Zone Conference last week. It was GREAT. Such a spiritual meeting! It was mostly about our purpose and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A good point was brought up, when we teach, we teach that the church was restored, it was NOT, the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth, the organization of the church was something that came from that, so that hit me the most. It was activity Zone conference and we had games. Our Zone was looking LEGIT in our shirts, don’t worry i took pics! We played volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, capture the flag, and soccer. it was FUN. and there was a competition on who had the cleanest car and such, and WE WON! Along with 2 other companionship's. We had the Celestial Car! We got a signed tie from President Cotterell. But it was just a great meeting and the spirit was amazing.ALL ABOUT ZONE CONFERENCE

P-DAY @ TPC WAKEFEILD It is final and set in stone that were playing at TPC Wakefeild today! We will be heading up there around 12:30 and playing it! I’m stoked. I’ll take pics. It’s starting to get hot though for real. Today is supposed to be 80° and the humidity is starting to kick in...I’m not ready for it yet. Oh well just one more humid summer. One day we had a fun day on the city buses. We talked to a lot of people and people were approaching us and wanting to know what we do or telling us how good we look :) I mean two young guys in shirt and tie who wouldn’t?? ha-ha jk. It’s fun.

Investigator wise has been great! We have a great teaching pool right now. A recent convert Charity, we are teaching her daughter who is 9 and wants us to baptize her before June! So sometime next month. We are teaching the Martinez family, a less-active coming back into activity. We are teaching their 10 and 8 almost 9 year olds, it’s really fun. and Corey is doing great, came to church again, so I really think that lesson is what he needed, a kick in the butt to get him straight ha-ha, I think his probation is off in June, so when we meet this Saturday we're going to set some goals and get him baptized! MIRACLE...we got a referral from some Wisconsin missionaries for two people, Charles and Pamela. They want to be baptized and have had the lessons all they need to do is get married and they will be ready! We’re going to review the lessons with them and get them ready. They are just waiting on her birth certificate then they can get married. He is an interesting guy, but has a great desire to join the Church. We are just working with some great people right now, which is fun, and a lot of them want to come to Church, so bring it on ha-ha.

So here in Raleigh, we are fed great. We get on average 6 dinners a week so it’s really nice. My hair looks good, it’s nothing fancy he just shaved it down with some clippers. I just like it short to where I don’t have to do it and it still looks good ha-ha.

Well, I love all of y'all and hope all is going well and everything is just going dandy! Because I love it here in Raleigh. This week and Black Saturday end of the transfer and I hope I stay! and Elder Worsley as well. LOVE Y'all
Much love,

THIS WEEK WAS UP & DOWN

Hey how is everything going? It’s going well here in Raleigh, the capital city! This week is activity Zone Conference, so we'll get spiritually fed for couple hours then play hard! I heard we're going to be having a pig pickin at this ZC as well, if that's true then I’m STOKED! Elder Worsley cut my hair this morning, it looks great though! It’s nice having a companion that can cut hair so I don’t have to spend any money on it. While downtown this week there was a Protest to Taxes or something like that,(TEA Party) it was interesting ha-ha, I took pics!TEA PARTY RALLY IN RALEIGH

This week was up and down with our investigators, on Tuesday we got a random message from Ricky , and said in a nice way that he wasn’t interested anymore and feels more comfortable at his "home" church. So that was a bummer. We didn’t let that rain on our parade, we just are started from the basics and building up our teaching pool again. We found 3 potential investigators this week and will hopefully have great visits with them this week! We had a good lesson with Corey on Saturday night. He knows the church is true and can’t be baptized because of probation, but is checking out other churches still, so Brother Bagley was BOLD with him and that made us bold and just talked with him and asked if you know it’s true then why is there a need to check out other churches...? End result being he came to church yesterday and will be next week as well ha-ha. He just is curious and wants to know how other churches are far from the truth and different things like that, so it as a good discussion.
4/14/10 ATTENDING THE TEMPLE TODAY
We have had a couple cool conversations on the bus while riding around, haven’t gotten an investigator from it yet, but we still talk to people. We try to at least talk to 1-2 people every time we're on the bus. It’s fun ha-ha.

Well family, I hope all is well, I know this Church is true and the Book of Mormon is amazing! This is the Lord's work. And Blessings come strongly to the faithful and obedient!

WONDERFUL BAPTISM

Man I don’t even know where to start! Well let’s start with Saturday! Maurice’s Baptism. It was amazing! The Spirit at Baptisms is always strong and unforgettable. The confirmation Sunday was great as well. He is going to be a great member. His wife and sister in-law are recent converts and all want to go to the Temple together and do Baptisms soon! MAURICE'S BAPTISM..MAURICE, ELDER WORSLEY, ME, BROTHER BROWN

This week we won’t be golfing at TPC but we will be next Monday. I’m excited for that and playing on a course that Tiger Woods probably stepped on.

Investigator wise, this week the Lord as blessed us with many miracles. The sisters in Falls Lake Ward, gave us a referral last week, Ricky. We called him up and told him where our Church was and that we would be meeting him this Thursday. Without us even meeting him, he showed up to church yesterday! He participated a little bit and I think felt at home. This ward is great at fellow-shipping, which hopefully made his visit great. We found two great people to teach this week while tracting some apartments behind us. Johnny, we will be meeting tonight actually and Christine we will be meeting Saturday. The other miracle last night we were visiting a less-active family that is chill and one of their friends showed up and started asking us questions about our church and mostly the afterlife, and we had a great discussion! and result being we'll be seeing him on Tuesday at their house. Some part member families we have been working with came to church yesterday! That made us jump for joy ha-ha. The work is going great, thanks to the Lord guiding us and blessing us :)

Days with Elder Worsely are normal pretty much, but what’s great about being in a city we can just go out on the streets and talk to people! It’s fun. He is a funny kid and has been out couple transfers more than me, so being with an experienced Missionary is fun since we both are a little seasoned ha-ha. Studies are going great I am getting into Helaman right now in the Book of Mormon and the book Jesus the Christ. I have one more chapter left and ill have dominated it! It’s an intense book but very educational and spiritual growth. Really goes into detail on things you didn’t know about our Savior.

We are going to the Temple on Wednesday, pretty stoked for that. This upcoming transfer is activity Zone Conference, meaning we will meet for a couple hours and the rest of the time we play games! We made stencils for our Zone shirts, Elder Worsley and I made them! We are buying red headbands to match, also my idea ha-ha.
MAKING ZONE CONFERENCE SHIRTS

Well my family, it has been a great week and I love this work and the Lord has really blessed us here in Raleigh. I love all of y'all and miss y'all. Hope all is well and know that I love this work and this Church is true and this truly is the work of the Lord!

GREAT GENERAL CONFERENCE & BAPTISM SATURDAY

I hope all is well with all of y’all. Man this week has been hot! It’s been about mid-high 80's for us here. Luckily the 1st of April ended suit coat season, so we now can roll around in white shirts only :) it feels amazing ha-ha. Well we were going to go golf today at TPC at Wakefield Plantation, that’s right dad TPC! But there is a tournament going on, so we couldn’t. A member in the Falls Lake Ward manages the course and can get us on for free, kind of like North Green Country Club back in Rocky Mount. So it's definitely pollen season! Everything is yellow! The flowers on the pine trees are bursting! Everyone’s car is yellow, the streets and the ponds and rivers ha-ha. Its nasty, thank goodness I don’t have allergies :)

We had a good week with our investigators. We had a lesson with Corey, got to know him a lot more. He told us his story, pretty much and now he is doing great, but just on probation. He is going to be coming to the Baptism though on Saturday. He wants to see how our church performs Baptisms. Man he is going to feel the Spirit. Had a lesson with Sheretta, she is the friend of a member, she is doing great. We taught a 3rd lesson and she ate it up. We had somewhat success while tracting this week, we got a couple return appointments, but we'll see how they go and if they have a true desire.

General Conference
was GREAT! I think it was the most spiritual conference I have watched...that’s probably because most of the talks were on families :) and just the feeling and the music just makes it more legit. Elder Bednar gave a great talk on warnings. President Utchdorf on patience was good. And the one that told the story about throwing the ball up and missing it, that was a good talk and how to face adversity. They truly are inspired and know what talks we all need to hear. as soon as y'all get the Conference issue Ensign, send one my way so I can tear it up with notes :)

Well family, I hope that all is well and know that’s you're in my prayers everyday! I know that this is the Lord's work and this Gospel is SO true. Blessings that come from living the Gospel are amazing and real. I love all of y'all and take care.
Much Love,
-Elder Henricksen
