BAPTISIM DATE SET & A GREAT WEEK

What’s going on! So check it, last week’s P-day we played golf in the POURING rain, it was so fun. One whole it felt like a hurricane hit or something. And the past 2 days have been so random weather wise. It rains hardcore in the morning and the rest of the day is nice then at night on our ways to appointments it rains again harder ha-ha. it’s been weird, but welcome to North Carolina.SOME P-DAY BOWLING FUN WITH THE SISTERS

So check it! June 5th Elder Bednar is coming to speak to us! And a couple other General Authorities. I’m so stoked! I’m totally going to ask him if he remembers Ty and talk about him ha-ha.

So we set a date with Morgan, the 9 year old girl. And that is going to be June 5! So we have a baptism and get to hear from an Apostle in the same day! SPIRITUAL ha-ha. We have a new investigator named Latesha, and we had a GREAT lesson with her. She has been wanting to find a church to go to, so she can get an example for her kids, and her husband as well but he wasn’t there he was at work...but she instantly felt the spirit and was STOKED about the Book of Mormon and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She accepted to be baptized and hopefully when we meet with them this week we can set a date with them :) be praying for them. The lady on the bus, she wasn’t interested anymore ha-ha, it happens though. And Susan we'll try to stop by this week and follow up on her reading. And Corey, I have a favor. Can you send out the book "Stand a Little Taller" the book with the scripture for each day by President Hinkley. That’s something Corey would be interested in! It's going well with him. He is dating some girl up in Cary (old area) and he might be looking to move there. So that would be cool, because that Ward has a lot of young couples to friendship.

But everything is going well. I’ll be going on exchange with Elder Condie this week and get to have some appointments with some new people this week! I hope all is well, especially mom and dad in Italy....so jealous...and everyone else in the USA ha-ha.

I love and miss all ya'll. Take Care.

ZONE CONFERENCE & MISSIONARY WORK ON THE BUS

This week has been GREAT! We had a Zone Conference already. President Cotterell changed up the schedule on when they will be and how they are ran. I like the new set up, it makes is more of a discussion, at first it would be in the chapel but now it’s in the gym and the tables set up in the horseshoe and makes it great for discussions, I just don’t like sitting in the hard folding chairs for that long...but its great though. This conference was mainly about our purpose and baptism and praying. It was a really good meeting.ZONE RALEIGH

So speaking of Elder Bearnson we had a great exchange. He is a cool kid and he had some fun while together. We had some great success finding people and he pretty much taught a lady the whole first on the bus ha-ha, and we're going back Tuesday to talk to her more :) It was cool though how her mom found that lady for us. We had a great talk with her and her daughter. Her daughter's best friend is Mormon, so she's been to the church couple of times and loves the dances. They happily took a Book of Mormon and we talked about it and about baptism. It was a really cool discussion, we gave them our number and I told them we can stop by in couple weeks and talk to them more.

Investigator wise...Charles and Pamela are done. We went over on Wednesday and they brought their "prophet" from their church they joined and pretty much told us he doesn’t want to join our church. And their prophet didn’t like me because he couldn’t shake me from my faith :) but it was an interesting experience. We have the rue Prophet on earth today to lead and guide us. I am so thankful for that. The Spanish Elders have found us some good investigators, while tracting they run into some people that speak English so they pass them on to us. So they gave us 2 last week and we're meeting with one tonight who is stoked to meet with us.

We are going golfing today, but not the main TPC 18, so pretty much it won’t be available for us to play on till like July...so hopefully I’m still here, there are a lot of tournaments going on so hopefully I’ll be able to.

Well family, i hope all is well and I love each and every one of y’all! Take care and peace be the journey!

Much Love,
Elder Henricksen

THE BOOK OF MORMON

What’s going on ya'll? Elder Worsley and I survived “black Saturday,” (transfer call) and none of us are getting transferred, so guaranteed 6 more weeks here!
Last P-Day another disappointment (golf wise), but not as bad. We couldn’t play the main 18 holes at TPC, but we played their 9 hole course which is like 2 miles from the main course. It was fun but I want to play the main.P-DAY @ TPC WAKEFEILD On P-days we chill with the sisters every week. We just go to the church and play some sports or just chill, ya know. But man the weather is getting hotter and MORE humid, I hate it, yesterday was gross. 90 and like 85% humidity. I’m not ready for summer yet ha-ha.

Investigators have been doing well. Bad news on Corey, so his probation is not over in June, it just goes from Intensive probation to less-intensive. It won’t be up till next year...but he talked to President Cotterell yesterday at church and President set a date with him to get baptized May 2011. So that’s between them, but well still go teach him and strengthen his testimony. He got a Scripture Triple combination last week and LOVES it. It helped him out a lot about gaining a stronger testimony of the Book of Mormon. We taught Chris and his girlfriend Tanya couple times this week, they really want to learn about the church, and last lesson we had with them she was confused about the Plan of Salvation and we talked a lot about praying to gain the knowledge that we need, it was great, and she really understands that now. We will be seeing them tomorrow and see how it went. Everyone else is doing great. Still waiting for Pamela to get her birth certificate so they can get married and baptized. We went over the Restoration with him and he definitely knows it and has a great testimony of it.

I do use the Conference talk book you made for me mom. I love it! Book of Mormon study has been amazing. Reading in 3 Nephi where Christ comes to the people in the America's, wouldn’t it be LEGIT it be there when it happened? I would have loved to be there and touch Christ’s wounds and here the sermons taught. MAN lucky people. I know that this is the true Church, and the Gospel is real and amazing. This is truly His work.

Well my beautiful family, I hope all is going well and ya'll are in my prayers. I miss and love y’all. Take care,

Elder Henricksen
