Well to start off the week, we were "out of town" for Tuesday, Wednesday and got back Thursday night. We had leadership training in Goldsboro. Every night we spent the night in Wallace with the Spanish Speaking Missionaries in our zone. Each night we split up and went with them to appointments and did work. (legit story about that later in email) But the MTC is going to be coming out with new curriculum for the missionaries in the MTC, so to make up for that, President Cotterell and the AP's are teaching it to the Zone leaders, District leaders and Missionaries who are training. Man it was AMAZING!!! It’s nothing new, it's all out of “Preach My Gospel.” Its just things that people overlook or don’t apply as much as we're suppose to. Its all centered on the SPIRIT and the Gospel of Jesus Christ; faith, repentance, baptism, gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. It is composed of 8 lessons that will be taught, so we got all 8 of them in 3 days, you can imagine how spiritually and mentally we were drained after Thursday ha-ha. We were so pumped to got out and start applying. So Wednesday night I went out with Elder Dealba to teach a couple investigators, now keep in mind this is all in Spanish, and I don’t speak it AT ALL! ha-ha. Elder Delba is teaching and I’m just chillin’ there, listening for any promptings I get and I all of a sudden got an impression to pray from Elder Dealba, so I did and literally 2 minutes later, he turns to me and tells me with a shocked look on his face that they want to come to church. MIRACLE! Then he taught some more and he felt impressed to include me, so he translated what was going on to me and I asked them 2 questions and that he translated back and he said that their desire to come to church and read the Book of Mormon increased! I TESTIFY that this is the Lord's work, we cannot teach without the Spirit, no matter if you don’t speak the language, you can still feel prompted to ask questions, I boldly testify of that!!!!! The same thing happened with our next visit with an investigator, Elder Dealba felt he needed to include me so I asked him couple questions and set an appointment for the next day! MIRACLE. Then Elder Dealba was asking him for a referral and felt inspired to ask him for someone who has experienced a death and literally 1 second after he asked it he pointed the a trailer couple down from him, MIRACLE! Again I TESTIFY that miracles do not cease! God watches over us and gives us that guidance. That night changed my whole mission; I have never felt the Spirit so strong before going from miracle to miracle guided by the Spirit.
Elder Spencer and I decided that tracting around 8:30pm isn’t that effective, so we decided to look through the area book for some potentials or former investigators, and I turned to one and felt amazing about it so I read it and turns out she was being taught before the summer as a student at UNCW had a baptismal date, and everything but it didn’t happen because she went back home during the summer and now she is back so I called her and we have an appointment for tonight! So legit! We had good lessons with Don, we set a date for Oct. 2, he just needs to find that strong desire and strength to quit smoking, but we and his family are confident he can make it!
We will be heading to Raleigh tomorrow for ZLC (zone leader council) so again some more driving...I hate it ha-ha. The battleship tour last Monday for P-Day activity was legit! I took a lot of pics, and today we're just either going to go bowl or play some basketball.
Well my family I know that Christ lives, this truly is the Lord's work, I just need to get out of the way and let the Spirit touch our investigators hearts. The Book of Mormon is God's word and will draw men closer to God than any other book on the earth today! I love this work and my Savior.

AWESOME WEEK & BAPTISM SATURDAY
Well we had an awesome week! Jennifer had her baptism on Saturday! It went GREAT! She was baptized by Brother Bastian, her best friend’s dad. Jennifer was crying almost the whole time; she truly felt that Heavenly Father was proud of her for making this decision in her life. Man, I wish y’all could've been there to be a part of it, the Spirit was strong. Her parents and sister came who are non-members and sometime this week we're going to go over there and follow up with them and see what they thought, so we're praying for a miracle. The Confirmation was just as great! She was confirmed by Bishop Lewis and after when she stood up to shake our hands, she had tears. It was just an amazing weekend ha-ha. Annie came to the baptism which was great. We have been working with her and will hopefully be seeing her this week.

Don…. we set a date for October 2. He is an older guy, father of a member of our Ward. We have been giving Don 20 min lessons 2 times a week. With setting a date it will motivate him to press forward and get rid of his smoking habit. So we're stoked.
So we got SOAKED on Wednesday, I think it was...we were riding our bikes and we were kind of dumb and saw the storm coming but we decided to bike right into it ha-ha, and we tried to make it to Chick-a-filet but it was too late, we got SOAKED, but it was fun.
P-DAY AT THE BATTLESHIP USS NORTH CAROLINA
This upcoming week, we're going to be gone Tuesday - Thursday up in Goldsboro for Leadership training. We’ll be spending the night in Wallace which is like an hour away with the Missionaries there. It’s 3 day training for Zone leaders, District leaders and anyone who is training. It has been split up into 3 different meetings. I’m stoked, from what we have heard it’s going to be amazing. We also had a Stake meeting with all the Bishops and the Stake presidency on Tuesday, which happens once a month. It was cool. ha-ha. Well today we're going to go check out the battleship! We heard it’s pretty legit, so we'll have some fun :)
On Sundays we go to church at 9-12 then hang out at the church and eat lunch and study, then at 2-3 we go to the young single adult Sacrament meeting, for the peeps who go to UNCW. I had to give a talk in the YSA sacrament meeting. It went well, got some thank yous for it afterwords.
Well my fam I love you and i hope that all is going well! I know that Christ lives and prayers are answered and Heavenly Father loves us more than we can comprehend. I LOVE Y’ALL!

UP AND DOWN WEEK - BAPTISM SATURDAY
Hey what’s going on?! Well we had an up and down week. We had a lot of re-scheduled appointments, so this week we should be doing some great work with all of them ha-ha. We had couple lessons with Jennifer this week. She is doing great and still stoked about being baptized. We had a lesson at the church yesterday and showed her the Baptismal font and talked about it, and just covered the last of the commandments. She will have her baptismal interview on Friday night and then Saturday is the big day! We had a great lesson with Dana this past week. We didn’t really teach anything in particular; we have been learning a lot lately in missionary work to really get out people's concerns and teach to those needs. We brought over a member with us and they really connected and we talked a lot about going to church and what he needs to do to get over the laziness, he told us exactly what he needs to do, the Spirit works mighty miracles :) He will be coming to church this coming weekend, our member made him commit to do it, and he's going to pick him up.

With being a Zone Leader we are responsible for 20 Missionaries and there are 4 Districts in our Zone. And yes President Cotterell and his Assistants preside at every Zone Conference. Our P-days are the same, just email, laundry (we are waiting for our washer and dryer to get here) so until then we go to the laundromat. Today we're actually going the Aquarium which is supposed to be pretty legit! With serving by the beach there isn’t any set rule…. it’s just common sense pretty much. Obviously don’t want to go there during the day, only time we go if we do is Monday mornings to see the sunrise or if we ever have appointments out there. So just being smart ha-ha.

Well family, I love this work. I love the companionship of the Holy Ghost and the guidance and strength it gives me. Also for the Atonement of our Savior and the healing power it can give us all. Miracles are definitely still in force and the heavens are opened and will never close, we determine how wide they are opened to us :) LOVE ALL OF Y’ALL!

ZONE CONFERENCE & LOVING WILMINGTON
Good old Wilmington, I still love it here! The weather is cooler here than any of the other areas in the mission, so that is always a plus especially being 10 minutes from the beach it helps to cool it down. But the humidity is still pretty bad at times ha-ha. Zone Conference was AMAZING! It was such a spiritual meeting. We learned how to teach by the Spirit better to our investigators. The main part of it that hit me was role playing. I hate role playing, but doing it in Zone conference and District meetings is SO much better. Also learned to ask questions as the Spirit directs, not just us making up questions but letting silence take place and then speak what comes to your heart through the spirit. Everyone testified that the questions that they came up with weren’t ones that we could just make up, the Spirit worked through all of us. LEGIT! Our teaching part of it went well. Elder Spencer and I taught about the qualifications for the companionship of the Holy Ghost and then later that conference taught the Doctrine of Christ mixed with our purpose as missionaries. We did great!

Well Jennifer, we had to set her baptismal date a week later because her sister is moving in this weekend, but it was announced in church that August 21 Jennifer will be baptized! She is excited and it sounds like her parents are supportive and the dad is coming to the Baptism to learn! ...miracle... :) We had a great lesson with JR, and set a baptismal date for September 24th , kind of out there, but its obtainable. He has to overcome some Word of Wisdom issues and become fully committed. He is excited about it and feels he can do it. It’s still hard with the summer still in session; people are out of town or busy with family coming in town since were in Wilmington, ya'll would love it here. But we are working hard and have so much potential here, I’m stoked about it.
So as zone leader, Elder Spencer is also a Zone Leader. We are over about 20 missionaries and 4 district leaders and we're the Wilmington Zone. We make sure the missionaries are doing what they need to be doing, and helping out the District Leader's with their leadership. We work with the Stake President and go to meetings once a month and talk to him once a week on the phone. So more responsibility, but you just do what the Lord wants you to do.
Well my family, I know that this Gospel is true. I know that the Atonement was done out of pure love from both Jesus Christ and Heavenly father. I am thankful to be an instrument in their hands to declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people here in Wilmington. I love this work and I love all of ya'll so much and miss you. Thank you for the support and prayers.

SERVING IN WILMINGTON & NEW ASSIGNMENT
I am now serving in WILMINGTON! We are about 10-15 mins from Wrightsville Beach. My new companion is Elder Spencer; he was my MTC companion ha-ha. Who would've thought we would be serving together again. I love it here, the people are nice and our ward is amazing. Yesterday during Testimony meeting was wow! The youth just got back from Palmyra and it was pretty much all youth bearing their testimony, it was so GREAT! We have Zone Conference tomorrow, so it'll be my first one as a Zone leader, and we will be leading a couple discussions about the Holy Ghost and the Doctrine of Christ/purpose as a Missionary, so I’m excited about that.
MY COMPANION ELDER SPENCER @ WILMINGTON BEACH
Well the work here is moving! Jennifer is committed to August 14th! She is 17, she went on the Palmyra trip, so that definitely helped to seal the deal! She is best friends with a member in our ward. Then we have Will. He is a 16 year old. I guess one Sunday he just showed up and they have been teaching him since. He also has a date for the 14th of August. We talked to him about it and says he is kind of shaky on it just because he has a lot of soccer going on, but we wants to be baptized, just when, is the problem. Also working with some other great people and we're just seeing where they are at interest wise, but we have a great teaching pool right now, and we are also doing a lot of finding to keep it up, especially after Jennifer and Will get baptized. For the most part it’s pretty much young people because of UNCW (University of North Carolina Wilmington) and retired people, but people are nice or either just don’t want to hear us because they're living on the beach and partying it up.

So we live with a member here in a HUGE house! Let’s just say its nice living ha-ha. Our apartment has a big walk in shower, very nice high tech kitchen, I’ll send some pics this week when I send home the card and do the famous house tour!
Well I know that this Church is true, I love feeling the help from on high while doing this great work. Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God and Thomas s Monson is the Prophet today leading and guiding us. The Atonement is real, and can change our lives if we will apply the healing power that it can give us. Christ lives, I love the quote from Elder Maxwell, those little words, "I know that Christ lives" has such a strong meaning. Simple but powerful! I love all of ya'll and hope and prayer that all is well. LATER!
